雙十概況

學(xué)校現(xiàn)有鎮(zhèn)海和枋湖兩個(gè)校區(qū)，總占地面積17萬(wàn)平方米，有108個(gè)班級(jí)，400多名教職工，5000多名學(xué)生。學(xué)校各學(xué)科教師配備完整，年齡結(jié)構(gòu)合理，以中青年教師為主體，教師隊(duì)伍充滿(mǎn)蓬勃朝氣，涌現(xiàn)出許多全國(guó)、省市勞動(dòng)模范、杰出教師、最美勞動(dòng)者、最美教師等。

在新的歷史時(shí)期，學(xué)校提出了“尊重生命，崇尚人文，熱愛(ài)科學(xué)，追求卓越，把學(xué)校建設(shè)成為師生生命成長(zhǎng)、人生發(fā)展的幸福家園”的辦學(xué)理念，立德樹(shù)人，培育英才。  

近年來(lái)，學(xué)校高考成績(jī)連年位居福建省最前列，多項(xiàng)重要指標(biāo)名列全省第一，本科一批上線率持續(xù)保持在90%以上，最高達(dá)94%，每年都有超過(guò)300人錄取國(guó)家“985工程”重點(diǎn)大學(xué)、超過(guò)450人錄取國(guó)家“211工程”重點(diǎn)大學(xué)；2017屆高三畢業(yè)班，共有24名優(yōu)秀學(xué)生錄取北京大學(xué)和清華大學(xué)，人數(shù)位居全省第一！2000年以來(lái)，共有351名優(yōu)秀學(xué)生錄取北京大學(xué)和清華大學(xué)，遙遙領(lǐng)先省內(nèi)各所中學(xué)，位居全省第一！

在各級(jí)各類(lèi)學(xué)科競(jìng)賽和青少年科技創(chuàng)新大賽等，學(xué)生摘金奪銀，成績(jī)斐然，名列省市最前列，2名學(xué)生獲國(guó)際化學(xué)奧賽金牌、1名學(xué)生為中國(guó)首奪英特爾國(guó)際科學(xué)與工程大獎(jiǎng)賽特等獎(jiǎng)和一等獎(jiǎng)、數(shù)名學(xué)生獲亞洲與太平洋地區(qū)信息學(xué)奧林匹克競(jìng)賽金牌、國(guó)際天文奧賽特別獎(jiǎng)以及世界航海模型錦標(biāo)賽金牌等榮譽(yù)。

豐富多彩的文體活動(dòng)是我校辦學(xué)的又一亮點(diǎn)。近年來(lái)，校舞蹈隊(duì)屢次在全國(guó)中小學(xué)生文藝展演獲金獎(jiǎng)，代表著我省中學(xué)生舞蹈最高水平；校女子足球隊(duì)奪我省中學(xué)生女子足球錦標(biāo)賽冠軍；校男女籃球隊(duì)連奪廈門(mén)市中學(xué)生籃球聯(lián)賽冠軍；更有許多學(xué)生在全國(guó)、省市網(wǎng)球、乒乓球、羽毛球、田徑、游泳等體育單項(xiàng)賽事中取得優(yōu)異成績(jī)；各類(lèi)學(xué)生藝體社團(tuán)活躍在校園的角角落落，有文學(xué)社、動(dòng)漫社、魔方社、模型社、書(shū)法篆刻社、模擬聯(lián)合國(guó)、B-BOX社、曲藝社、街舞社、合唱團(tuán)、管弦樂(lè)團(tuán)、民樂(lè)團(tuán)、打擊樂(lè)團(tuán)……不一而足。

面對(duì)新的發(fā)展契機(jī)，學(xué)校努力拓展多樣化辦學(xué)的空間和形式，在多樣化辦學(xué)方面成績(jī)斐然，不斷有新的突破和新的跨越。與思明區(qū)教育局合作以托管模式創(chuàng)辦“福建省廈門(mén)雙十中學(xué)思明分校”，與翔安區(qū)教育局深度合作共建共管“福建省廈門(mén)雙十中學(xué)翔安分校”，與漳州臺(tái)商投資區(qū)管理委員會(huì)合作以托管模式創(chuàng)辦“廈門(mén)雙十中學(xué)漳州分校”，與海滄教育局深度合作共建共管“福建省廈門(mén)雙十中學(xué)海滄附屬學(xué)校”，各合作學(xué)校的教育教學(xué)工作均取得了優(yōu)異成績(jī)，在社會(huì)上享有良好的聲譽(yù)。  

東風(fēng)浩蕩滿(mǎn)眼春，萬(wàn)里征程催人急�，F(xiàn)如今，福建省廈門(mén)雙十中學(xué)正致力于“為學(xué)生一生奠基，讓家長(zhǎng)信賴(lài)滿(mǎn)意，對(duì)民族未來(lái)負(fù)責(zé)”的教育理想，不斷提升綜合競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力，朝著“高水平、有特色、現(xiàn)代化、開(kāi)放性的國(guó)內(nèi)一流國(guó)際知名的示范性窗口學(xué)校”的辦學(xué)目標(biāo)奮力邁進(jìn)。

Founded in October, 1919, Xiamen Shuangshi High School of Fujian Province was named after “Shuangshi” in memory of the Revolution of 1911, which occurred on the exact date, featuring Democracy. Bearing the motto of Diligence, Perseverance, Honesty and Sincerity as well as adhering the spirit of Pursuing Perfection and Striving for the Best, generations of Shuangshi people developed the school into a successfully government-funded one with great reputation within and abroad. The school has won many nationwide honorary titles such as the National Civilization Campus, the National Green Model Unit, the National Mental Health Education Characteristic School, the Fujian Provincial Model High School Construction School, the Fujian Provincial High School Curriculum Reform Base School, the Fujian Provincial Compulsory Education Management Standardization School, and the Fujian Province Compulsory Education Teaching Reform Demonstration Construction School and so on. The party committee of the school was awarded with the Advanced Grassroots Party Organization of Fujian Province, and the school youth league committee was awarded with the National May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Committee.

With two campuses, namely Zhenhai and Fanghu as well as a total area of 170,000 square meters, 108 classes, more than 400 faculty members and up to 5,000 students, the school is fully resourceful with professional teachers of all disciplines whose age structure is reasonably balanced (mainly young and middle-aged teachers). The teachers are full of vigor and vitality, and there have emerged.many outstanding teachers on the basis of city, province and even the whole country.

In the new historical period, the school put forward the idea of “respecting life, advocating humanity, loving science, pursuing excellence, building a school into a happy home for teachers and students to grow up and develop their lives”, which aims to set high moral values and cultivate people.

In recent years, the results of the college entrance examination have been ranking in the forefront of Fujian Province for many years. A number of important indicators rank first in the province. The undergraduate admission rate has maintained over 90%. More than 300 students have been admitted into the national “985 Project” every year. More than 450 students have been enrolled into the national “211 Project” key universities. Since 2000, a total of 379 students have been admitted to Peking University and Tsinghua University, ranking first in the province. In 2018, all of the teachers and students made another splendid achievement: 29 students of the top 100 in science exams and the top 50 in art exams are from our school, ranking first in the province; 8 students of top 15 in art exams are from our school, ranking first in the province; 8 students of top 50 in science exams are from our school, ranking first in the province. Additionally, 28 outstanding students were admitted to Tsinghua University and Peking University. The results of senior high school entrance examination rank first in Xiamen. In recent years, there have been three outstanding students in our school who won the first place in the total score of the Xiamen City Entrance Examination in 2012, 2014 and 2015. In 2018,. our school won the second place in the quality evaluation of junior high school education of similar schools directly affiliated to Xiamen city.

Many accomplishments have been made in subject contests and the Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competitions, ranking top in Xiamen city and Fujian province. Our students have won two International Chemical Olympic gold medals, special awards and first prizes in Intel International Science and Engineering Competition., gold medals in the Asia and Pacific Informatics Olympiad, special prizes in the Ukrainian International Astronomy Olympics and gold medals in several world nautical model championships.

The colorful cultural and sports activities are another highlights of our school. In recent years, the school dance team has repeatedly won gold medals in the national primary and middle school students' cultural performances, representing the highest level of dance among middle school students in our province; the school male and female basketball teams won the basketball championship of the middle school students in Xiamen; the female football team of the school has successively been entitled with the first and second in provincial middle school football matches; the students have also achieved excellent results in the tennis, table tennis, badminton, track and field, swimming and aerobics competitions in the provinces and even the whole country. In addition, various student associations are very active and become a remarkable feature on campus. There are Astronomical Society, Model Agency, Model United Nations, Literary Club, Animation Club, Calligraphy Engraving Agency, Rubik's Club, Roller Skating Club, B-BOX. Clubs, Art Clubs, Hip-hop Clubs, Choirs, Orchestras, Folk Orchestras, Percussion Music Groups, and so on.

In the face of new development opportunities, the school continues to expand the space and form of diversified school operations, and has made new breakthroughs and leapfrogs in diversified school operations. Cooperating with Xiamen Siming District Education Bureau to establish “Xiamen Shuangshi Middle School Siming Branch of Fujian Province” in the trusteeship mode, and cooperating with Xiamen Xiang’an District Education Bureau to jointly establish “Xiang’an Branch of Fujian Xiamen Shuangshi Middle School ”, the school is also in cooperation with the Management Committee of Taiwan Business Investment Zone of Zhangzhou City, and the “Zhangzhou Branch of Xiamen Shuangshi Middle School ” was established in the trusteeship mode. Besides, our school has also cooperated with Xiamen Haicang Education Bureau to jointly establish the “ Haicang Affiliated School of Fujian Xiamen Shuangshi Middle School”. The schools mentioned above have all achieved outstanding teaching  results and enjoy a good reputation.

The east wind is blowing and the spring is calling for a new journey.
